At Coastal General Dentistry, we’ve been serving Virginia Beach families since 2012. Our office on First Colonial Road is just minutes from Great Neck. Easy for you to fit dental appointments into your busy schedule. Whether you need a routine cleaning, have a toothache that won’t quit, or want to explore options for replacing a missing tooth, we’re here for you.
But more than convenience, we offer genuine comfort. Our team takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and ensure you feel at ease. If dental anxiety has kept you away from the dentist in the past, we have gentle solutions for that, too.

Why Great Neck Families Choose Us
True Family Dentistry, All Ages Welcome
We treat everyone from toddlers having their first dental experience to grandparents who’ve been through it all. Our team creates a welcoming environment where children feel safe and adults feel respected. Schedule back-to-back appointments for the whole family and knock out everyone’s care in one trip.
Experienced Dentists Who Actually Listen
Dr. Cappy Sinclair and Dr. Mark Reichley combine decades of experience with a genuine interest in getting to know their patients. They don’t rush through appointments or push treatments you don’t need. Instead, they take time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions about your oral health.
A Gentle Approach, Even for Nervous Patients
We know that sitting in a dental chair isn’t everyone’s favorite activity. That’s why we offer multiple sedation options to help you relax through any procedure. Many of our patients tell us they barely remember their appointments.
Preventative Care That Actually Prevents Problems
Our focus is on keeping your smile healthy so you can avoid bigger, more expensive problems later on. Regular checkups and cleanings catch issues early, save you time, discomfort, and money.
Meet Your Great Neck-Area Dentists

Dr. Cappy Sinclair: Virginia Beach Native with an Artist’s Eye
Dr. Cappy Sinclair grew up right here in Virginia Beach, and he’s proud to serve the community he calls home. Before becoming a dentist, he worked as an art conservator, restoring damaged paintings and sculptures for museums. That background gives him a unique eye for detail and an appreciation for the artistry of creating natural-looking smiles.
Dr. Sinclair earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia at VCU and has pursued extensive postgraduate training, including study at the renowned Dawson Academy. This advanced training means he looks at how your entire oral system works together, from your bite to your jaw joints.
He is an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a distinction earned by fewer than 400 dentists worldwide. When he’s not in the office, you might spot him spending time with his family, tending his garden, or riding his bicycle around town.
Dr. Mark Reichley: Ivy League-Trained Implant Expert
Dr. Mark Reichley brings exceptional credentials and a warm, approachable manner to every patient interaction. He earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League institution, then served four years as a dental officer in the U.S. Navy. He’s been on humanitarian deployments to Central America, Western Africa, and the Baltic Sea.
Dr. Reichley is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a recognition of his advanced skill in implant dentistry. Whether you’re missing one tooth or need more extensive restoration, he has the training to provide lasting results.
He also has advanced training in root canal therapy and takes pride in making even complex procedures as comfortable as possible. Outside the office, Dr. Reichley loves spending time on the water with his wife Jessica and their two young children, Cash and Cameron.
Complete Dental Services for Great Neck Families
Preventative & Family Dentistry
The foundation of good oral health is to see your dentist twice a year. Our hygienists gently remove plaque and tartar from hard-to-reach spots, and our dentists thoroughly examine your mouth for any signs of trouble. We use digital X-rays that emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional film, so you can stay on top of your health without unnecessary exposure.
If you play sports or grind your teeth at night, a custom-fitted mouthguard offers protection you can’t get from a store-bought version. Ours fit perfectly, stay in place, and actually feel comfortable.
Fluoride Treatments & Dental Sealants
For our younger patients, these simple treatments provide an extra layer of protection against cavities. We help them build healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Restorative Care
When cavities happen, we restore your teeth with composite fillings that blend in seamlessly with your natural smile. No dark metal or noticeable patches.
If a tooth becomes infected, a root canal can save it. Dr. Reichley’s advanced training in this area means you’ll receive expert care with your comfort in mind. Contrary to popular belief, root canals relieve pain.
Sometimes a tooth simply can’t be saved. Whether it’s a severely decayed tooth or impacted wisdom teeth causing problems, we perform gentle extractions with your comfort as our priority.
Dental emergencies like toothaches, broken teeth, and lost fillings don’t schedule themselves. When something goes wrong, call us right away. We prioritize emergency patients and do everything we can to get you seen quickly.
Crowns & Bridges
For teeth that are too damaged for a filling, custom crowns restore strength and appearance. Bridges fill gaps left by missing teeth, preventing remaining teeth from shifting out of place.
Advanced Tooth Replacement
Dental Implants
If you’re missing one or more teeth, dental implants are the gold standard for replacement. A titanium post acts as an artificial tooth root, providing a permanent base for a natural-looking crown. Dr. Reichley’s Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists means you’re in exceptionally skilled hands. Implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth, and with proper care, they can last a lifetime.
Sedation for Comfort
Nitrous Oxide, Oral Sedation, and IV Sedation
We understand that dental anxiety is real. If the thought of a dental visit makes you nervous, talk to us. We offer multiple levels of sedation to help you relax through any procedure.
Many patients with dental anxiety find that sedation transforms their experience entirely. They receive the care they need at our office without the stress they’ve come to expect.
